Our Stance on Cyber Bullying

What is Cyber Bullying?

Cyber bullying is repeated harassment, threats, intimidation, humiliation, or deliberate exclusion carried out through digital platforms. It can take many forms — hurtful messages, spreading rumours, sharing private information, impersonation, or sustained hostility intended to cause distress.

Zero Tolerance

ShyTalk will not tolerate any form of cyber bullying. Every user deserves to feel safe in our community. Anyone found engaging in bullying behaviour faces immediate action, up to and including permanent suspension of their account with no possibility of return.

How We Enforce It

Report System

Users can report abusive behaviour directly within the app, attaching evidence where possible. Our moderation team reviews every report and takes appropriate action.

Moderation Filter

Automated content filtering detects and blocks harmful language before it reaches other users, helping prevent abuse in real time.

Account Suspension

Depending on severity, violators receive a temporary or permanent ban. Serious or repeated offences result in immediate permanent suspension.

Device Binding

Each device is permanently bound to its account. A banned user cannot simply create a new account on the same device — the ban follows the hardware, not just the account.

Root & Emulator Blocking

ShyTalk does not run on rooted or emulated devices. This prevents banned users from spoofing a new device identity to circumvent device-level bans.

Room Moderation

Room owners have the tools to ban disruptive users from their rooms, keeping individual conversations safe and welcoming.

Appeals

If you believe your ban was issued in error, you may submit an appeal through our designated process. Every legitimate appeal is reviewed fairly and thoroughly. However, bans for clear and serious violations of our policy will be upheld.
