1. Be Respectful
Treat every user with kindness and respect. ShyTalk is a space for genuine connection. Personal attacks, insults, and hostile behaviour are not welcome.
2. No Harassment or Bullying
Any form of harassment, intimidation, or bullying is strictly prohibited. This includes repeated unwanted contact, threats, and targeted hostility. See our Cyber Bullying Policy for full details.
3. No Hate Speech
Content or speech that promotes hatred, discrimination, or violence against individuals or groups based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or any other protected characteristic is forbidden.
4. No Inappropriate Content
- No sexually explicit, pornographic, or excessively violent content
- No content depicting or promoting illegal activities
- No graphic or disturbing imagery in profile photos or messages
5. No Spam or Abuse
- Do not flood rooms or chats with repeated messages
- Do not use bots, automated tools, or scripts
- Do not create multiple accounts (one account per device)
- Do not promote external products, services, or websites without permission
6. Protect Privacy
- Do not share other users' personal information without their consent
- Do not record or screenshot private conversations to share publicly
- Respect that some users prefer to remain anonymous
7. Voice Chat Etiquette
- Respect room owners and their rules
- Keep microphone background noise to a minimum
- Give others a chance to speak
- Follow the room owner's instructions regarding muting and seating
8. Reporting & Enforcement
If you witness behaviour that violates these guidelines, report it using the in-app report feature. Our moderation team reviews all reports and takes appropriate action, which may include warnings, temporary suspensions, or permanent bans.
9. Changes
We may update these guidelines from time to time. Continued use of ShyTalk after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised guidelines.
